Bringing Animal Crossing: New Horizons to Life with LEGO Sets
The enchanting world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been reimagined in a delightful and tactile form through LEGO sets, sparking joy among fans. A total of eight sets have been crafted, each capturing a unique building or location from the game, complete with charming Animal Crossing minifigures. While these sets share a common theme, they aren’t designed to connect into one cohesive landscape. However, one inventive fan has transformed this limitation into an opportunity for creativity.
A Creative Endeavor: The Combined Island
Reddit user johnschlemmer has ingeniously merged all the Animal Crossing LEGO sets into a single, cohesive rectangular island. According to johnschlemmer, arranging the layout required some experimentation, but the end result is a lively and authentic-looking town. The Redditor thoughtfully places each LEGO minifigure of Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters in their natural habitats, such as KK Slider and Isabelle at the Plaza, while Kapp’n sails along the beach in his boat. Observing this town creation, one could easily be convinced that these separate sets were destined to unite in this manner.

Fan-Favorites Make an Appearance
The initial six Animal Crossing LEGO sets were released on March 1, 2024. This collection included a variety of villager setups along with iconic locations such as Nook’s Cranny and Kapp’n’s Island Boat Tour. On August 1, two additional sets were introduced, featuring essential island locations: the Plaza and Dodo Airlines. Each set contains between 170 and 550 pieces, except for the mini-set, Maple’s Pumpkin Garden, which consists of only 29 pieces. These sets also feature beloved Animal Crossing villagers like Audie the wolf and Rosie the cat.
An Impressive Island Layout
Johnschlemmer’s island setup exclusively utilizes pieces from the official Animal Crossing LEGO sets, with the sole exception being the four 32×32 baseplates that support the entire structure. At the heart of the build stands the Town Hall, surrounded by houses, trees, and various decorations. Although originally intended for children to enjoy at their play table, many adults have confessed in comments to feeling tempted to engage with the enchanting town themselves.
The challenge of choosing an island layout in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a familiar one for players, making this physical representation all the more impressive. With the possibility of additional sets being added to the collection, this LEGO town might soon see further expansion.
